Just got back from my weekend trip. It was awsome and I felt so good being on my own again travelling.
I went to Agra and Jaip
ur this weekend. Saturday morning I took the bus to Agra which took about six hours to get there. On my way I met two female flight attendants from Quatar airways. They were joining a kind of tour and went back to Delhi on the same day. I decided to join them just for the Agra sights, because it was a little bit cheaper this way. When we arrived in Agra we first went to Agra Fort which is a kind of castle where all the Indian Maharaja lived. That was very interesting and you got an idea how they must had lived there back in the days.
Next thing we did was the Taj Mahal. One of the seven world wonders you might know. And it was really incredible. I have never seen such an amazing building. The third Maharaja built it for his wife. That man used to know how to deal with women, I guess :)
After that I split from the tour to go on my own again. I sneaked around Agra for a couple of hours trying to find the Bus stop to get to Jaipur.
On my way to Jaipur I met an Indian guy with who I talked nearly the whole 5 hours drive. He runs a Hotel in Agra and knows everything of the bible although he is a hindu. It was very interesting and he tought me a little hindi.
I reached Jaipur at one o'clock in the night and it took me an other hour to find a place to stay for the night (there I saw my first roach by the way). On the next day I went to some sights and enjoyed the chaotic way the people live there. This city is the most crowded city I have ever seen.
An Indian guy asked me if I could help him earn some money. All I had to do was to go to some certain shops to have a talk with the people there. He would get some money then from the shops because he brought me there. I had nothing to do so I agreed. The people in the shops were really nice and knew that I would not buy anything. The yinvited me for some drinks and I talked with them for hours. That was an awsome experience.
At six o'clock then I caught a bus back to Delhi. When I arrived in Delhi I had not the slightest idea where I was and where my appartement was (To get an adress here is very hard). The next Problem was, that I had not enough money left to pay the taxi driver. Anyways I made it somehow and now I am back at the office.
Unfortunately I can not upload any pictures today because the battery of my camera is empty. Maybe tomorrow
That's it.
Namaskar
